H. Buchanan has grown tobacco for 45 years and is now looking to diversify his farm operation to grow rhododendron and azalea bushes. With the help of his Cooperative Extension agents Harold Buchanan will be able to supplement his income with the new sales on nursery plants.

Expected income from $2,500 grant is $24,000 in 3 years.

Because of this grant "I am converting two of my tobacco transplant houses to grow nursery plants."
