Adrian Presnell is a full time farmer who has grown tobacco for over twenty years and is focused on keeping his family farm viable into the future. Mr. Presnell will diversify the farm enterprise by expanding his growing season for cabbage, squash and beans. He will use his grant money as the down payment for a planter that will make planting the cabbage, squash and beans easier to manage.

Expected income totals for this year are over $100,000.

Because of this grant "I am able to diversify my farming operation, provide year round work for my employees, and extend my season her on my farm in Western North Carolina."
