Karen Wilson has raised tobacco along with a diversity of plants and animals to diversify the farm income. Mrs. Wilson has continued to carry on the family business, deeply rooted in a love for the land. Through the 2005 WNC Ag Options grant program Mrs. Wilson will purchase start up materials for making Christmas wreaths from fresh cut greenery for the Atlanta region markets.

Expected income over a two year period - $4,650.

Because of this grant "I will able supply fresh cut Christmas wreaths to meet the increasing demand of our region."
