Greenhouses & Buildings; Livestock

Andrew Jones of Clay County is growing his goat operation by building shelter, constructing fencing and renovating pasture.

The land in Fires Creek where he farms has been in his family's hands for four generations, and now he resides there with his new wife and baby. He plans to sell goat meat to local restaurants.

"The grant came at a time when we really needed it," Andrew said. "Seeing all the other recipients at the workshops was pretty inspiring. I got excited about farming at a larger scale."
