The Jackson County Farmer’s Market is establishing a community commercial kitchen, certified to meet N.C. Department of Agriculture requirements. The kitchen is open to farmers and food producers to process, preserve and package foods. The venue is available for value-added production training and classes in cooking, nutrition and food safety and sanitation.
Other group leaders include: The Community Garden, Shared Blessings Farm, Balltown Bee Farm, and a nutrition and dietetic professor at Western Carolina University.
