The annual dinner was hosted by 2014 WNC AgOptions past grantee Jason Davis of North River Farms in Henderson County. This year’s grant 2015dinnerrecipients, along with NC Cooperative Extension Agents, representatives from WNC AgOptions, A.S.A.P. and WNC Communities and the NC Tobacco Trust Fund Commission dined on a meal made with ingredients from the 2015 recipients’ projects: beef from Reeves Home Place Farm; potatoes from Thankful Fork Farm; collard greens and butternut squash from Pitch Pine Farm; pickled chiles, broccoli, corn relish and hot sauce from Hoopers Creek Botanicals; pumpkins from Jasperwood Farm; and award-winning certified sourwood 2015dinner3honey from Mikell’s Farm.
