Vineyard Expansion to Sustain Local Wine Made from Local Grapes
Eric is expanding his vineyard by adding 150 Chambourcin vines, 75 Seyval vines, and 75 Catawba vines. His aim is to produce wine made exclusively from local fruit.
Currently, approximately half of the wine his winery produces is from local fruit, and the other half is from juice purchased from a New York winery juice supplier. With the help of the grant, Eric expects to reach profitability in 2010.
