$13,000 — Market Expansion for Christmas Tree Growers in the Southern Mountains
The association is undertaking a joint marketing campaign to offset several economic challenges in the Christmas tree industry.
The members are producing a state-of-the-art website, marketing materials, advertisements and booth displays, which will include a new logo and brand. They have identified potential customers on which to focus their advertising efforts, including large wholesale tree growers, WNC households, local businesses, hotels, rotaries and box stores such as Lowe’s.
Members plan to add to the “buy local” movement by encouraging the set-up of retail lots within the Southern Mountains, at local farmers markets, family owned stores and hospitals.
