Kate Gieger and Tom Dierolf are making a unifying product of goat’s milk soap, incorporating eggs and honey in some of the recipes.

Kate is managing her horses, goats and chickens in a rotational grazing pattern that benefits the vegetation growth and controls the parasites in the field.

She is also renovating her barn and constructing a portable chicken shelter.

Kate Gieger and Tom Dierolf are establishing a pastured layers and dairy goat operation, as well as expanding their beehives, with their grant.

"This grant is allowing us to expand our enterprises that have been successful as well as add some small ones that will integrate well," Kate said.
