Upgrades to Production Facility

To increase consistency of their product and expand production to meet demand of their culinary and medicinal mushrooms, High Country Fungi will make improvements to their current growing facility.
They will add an additional pneumatic bagger for grain spawn, upgrade to a high pressure misting system, replace shelving and convert from plastic to biodegradable bagging for a more sustainable operation.
High Country Fungi currently supplies a local CSA, multiple restaurants in Avery and Watauga Counties and sell at multiple farmers markets. In addition to selling mushrooms, they also produce medicinal mushroom tinctures and sell grow/spawn bags to customers interested in growing mushrooms themselves.
