The Hyatts are constructing a new cattle-working facility – corral, scales, chute and head-gate – for their grass-fed operation on a 640-acre farm. The equipment will encourage the careful monitoring of weight gain, artificial breeding, and ultra-sounding to determine carcass quality and parasite control.
The father and son team plan to sell approximately thirty head directly to customers, and they are working with Hickory Nut Gap Meats to sell beef through that brand.
